Special Event

Building Babylon (is woman's work)
From April 1-30, the Corrigan Gallery will host a special show by artist Jennifer Henriques Phillips. Jennifer, born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies, lived in Europe before making Charleston her home for the past 32 years. She says that some of the questions she asks of herself and her work include "how does an authentic femaleness navigate the fine line that divides the perception of woman's body as sacred/profane, adored/excoriated, protected/brutalized, idealized/marginalized?"

A portion of the proceeds to benefit the C4W.
