How Our Federal Government Goes Green with Linda Mesaros

Green Drinks Charleston in support of the Center for Women welcomes Ms. Linda Mesaros for a meet-and-greet and spirited discussion. A suggested donation of $10 is encouraged and will wholly benefit the Microloan Pilot Program at Charleston’s Center for Women. Guests will enjoy cuisine that is fresh, local, and made from all-natural ingredients as well as a variety of beverages.

Linda Mesaros is President of Mesaros Associates Inc. a woman-owned business that specializes in environmental and energy procurement consulting services. She has served as a green procurement advisor to five U. S. Presidents, and has in-depth experience with Federal requirements for purchasing green products as a result of her prior positions as Acting Federal Environmental Executive and Chief of Staff of a White House Task Force. Ms. Mesaros serves as a consultant to the country of Belgium on green procurement issues and maintains an active consultancy with more than 20 other nations. As the former Deputy Associate Administrator for Procurement Innovation at the Executive Office of the President’s Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Ms. Mesaros managed the environmental and energy procurement efforts for the entire Federal government for over ten years. She has also worked in the field as a government employee for both the US Navy and Army.
