We Can Do It! 20th Anniversary Challenge

Please accept the challenge
Donate today to the 20th Anniversary Challenge! Each dollar you donate will be matched $1 for $1! Our goal is to raise $100,000 from members and supporters like you.
Four very generous, current and former Center for Women board members have each pledged $25,000 - for a total match of $100,000 - toward the 20th Anniversary Challenge. The challenge match is in honor of the Center for Women’s 20th anniversary and the contribution we have made to the advancement of women in the Lowcountry. Monies raised will be designated for general operating expenses, funding programs and services such as job search workshops and career counseling; education for small business owners and entrepreneurs; empowerment groups; and outreach programming in Dorchester and Berkeley Counties.
The four women extending the $100,000 challenge match are: Charlene Harris, Harriet P. Rigney, Susan Romaine, and Anita Zucker. This is a rare opportunity to make your donation work even harder in support of the leading women’s resource and development organization in the state!
Consider making a gift to honor, or in memory of, a very special woman in your life. All donations will be recognized on our website and at our 20th Anniversary Celebration on October 15th. If you are honoring or making a memorial gift, add the person’s name to the comment section of the donation form.

Why I am making the challenge |
Charlene Harris
"As a transplant to SC I have been thrilled to find an organization that offers such comprehensive services for women. The Center for Women is the largest women's organization in the state and I am proud to support their efforts in helping women succeed personally and professionally.

Harriet P. Rigney
“We think differently, and we do things differently -- dare I say, better? What we do and how we do it are needed at the highest levels. Let's get there." |
Susan Romaine
“I've been involved with the Center for Women for over 15 years and have seen its growing and positive impact on women in the Lowcountry. Investing in and empowering women is good for our economy, our communities and our families. What better investment could I make than the Center for Women and what better rate of return could I get than the multiplying effect of women attaining their goals and assuming positions of influence and leadership in our State?”

Anita Zucker
“I decided to participate in the challenge match opportunity for the Center for Women because as a woman we need to be certain there is a place that provides for the essential needs that many women share. Women’s needs and men’s needs are very different. We must have a superb organization to empower women to be successful within their lives, their families, their jobs and more.”
