Women's Leadership Institute
Develop the skills and strategies of an effective leader
Women and Leadership is a new Center for Women series designed to teach the skills and strategies necessary for women to become capable and powerful leaders. In programs created by women for women, you will learn essential abilities for leading yourself and others to increased effectiveness. This series focuses on leadership from three perspectives: leading oneself, leading others and leading within organizations. Content addresses critical topics facing women at work including communications, conflict management, power and relationship, networking, influence, managing paradox, authenticity and negotiations.
Participants will:
- Create a vision for personal success whether you are an entrepreneur, climbing the career ladder or simply seeking personal development
- Acquire the personal and professional skills and techniques necessary to effectively handle the complex issues you encounter at work
- Gain perspective about gender dynamics in the workplace and discover how to develop constructive approaches for successfully managing those dynamics and yourself
Each course adds value to your personal development as a stand-alone or as part of a comprehensive package since the content from each session builds and links together. Course content is focused on real world success – taught by women who have walked the walk. Learning is provided through a variety of discussion, practical application, assessments and experiential exercises to maximize each participant’s development.
Each month, in a learning environment of trust, candor and sharing, Women and Leadership connects you to experts who will help you utilize your strengths as a woman so you can achieve the workplace success you so richly deserve.
